How to Create Winning Jewellery Combinations
Layering jewellery is super in, but it can be a little daunting. Knowing what pieces to mix and match is often tricky, especially if you're new to it. Here's our guide to make it a little easier.
Necklaces + Chains
There are no rules when it comes to mixing and matching but to make a winning necklace combo, we have a few tips to guide you...
- Stick with the same metal. This is the easiest way to make two pieces instantly work. You can mix and match materials, but metals should stay the same. For example when you're working with leather, pearls or stones, focus on the metal their paired with - if your pearl necklace has silver hardware, pair it with another silver necklace.
- Don't go overboard. Two many pendants, materials and stones can be overwhelming. Our advice is to pick a statement piece and something to compliment it.
Here's our winning formula - 1 chain, 1 necklace with a pendant in the same metal. We've even created sets so you don't have to do the hard work -> click here
Bracelets
Very similar to our necklace advice. Stay with matching metals and don't go overboard. Ensure you have a good balance of both statement and more classic pieces to give you the right look.

Rings
With rings you can be a little more creative. If you're excited about the idea of mixing metals, this is the best place to start. Each finger is almost a new canvas, meaning you can have create more bold combinations.
But our advice, stick with a theme:
- Pick a maximum of 2 metals
- Ensure you have a balance of statement and classic pieces
- Don't go overboard - just because you have 10 fingers, doesn't mean you need to use them all.
